After years of waiting I finally was going to ride el tren a las nubes (the train to the clouds). It’s a train that goes up in the Andies to the chilean border 4220 meters above sea level. What I didn’t think about was that it rains a lot here from December to February making it too dangerous to go with the train, and they had stopped the train for the season 5 days earlier. Timing!! Luckily they still had trips by van that went along the railroad track. So that’s what I did.
I couldn’t ride them but at least I could see some of the 29 bridges.

On the way we also passed by Salinas Grandes wich is a salt dessert. Salt salt salt all the way to the horizon.
