Today I had the pleasure to be visited by Thunderbabe Stella. She came to the studio to put her magic touch on the record. Congas, bongos, clocks, shakers, palo de agua, guiro, tambourines……..the list goes on. Anything that you can hit, swing or shake she plays, and she does it like no other!!
Here she’s getting slightly out of her comfort zone and start hitting the piano.
Hmmm… With one should I choose?
Rocking it with the Congas!
Playing the Glockenspiel.
She also have a beautiful voice.
It’s the 25th of october and it already started snowing in Stockholm.
But for once it doesn’t bother me that much because I’m locked in the studio finishing my new album. Today it was singing on the menu and this is how it looked.
Sorry that i haven’t been posting for a while but I have been locked in the studio and it has been many long nights. But the hard work pays off. Tomorrow I’ll be recording drums on the remaining tunes and then I’m off for a week in Vietnam. Here are some of the things that’s been going on so far.
Playing the “grand”piano
Playing with the chorus pedal
Playin’ some 12-string
experimenting with the tape echo
And playing some piano
The recording of my next album has started. Today’s agenda: Drums. Thunderbabe Johan delivered as usual, and put 7 songs on tape!!!!
Johan warming up with… With… FIFA 13? Well, we all have our methods.
The studio is getting pimped. New Mac Pro, new SSL interface and the magic mouse is resting on an oriental carpet from Qatar. Now everything is possible! The sky is the limit!
This is what happens when you let the Thunderbabes out of your sight for 2 seconds.
Enjoying the beach in Pinamar Argentina.
Recording in the studio many years ago.
What’s up Joey?!
Backstage on a photoshoot in Buenos Aires.
Me and my surf buddy Diego heading for the waves. He’s totally kicking my ass any day of the week.
Siesta on a 1930’s sailboat off the coast of Sardinia Italy. Could be worse!
It’s the 2nd of june and the summer is finally here!! …..or not really. 5 degrees celsius, rain and extreme winds. Not my vision of summer.
Soo what can you do when the weather sucks? Get some work done in the studio and cook some good food. And that’s what I did.
Mr Mister has totally got it! This is bad weather chilling champ-style.
After some weeks abroad I’m finally back in the studio. Today I’m trying my luck in beautiful Portuguese. Hope I can make it justice. The coffee maker is on, and the 12-string guitar is tuned and ready to go!
